How will you make an impact?
The Intern will join a dedicated team focused on recombinant antibody development, including primary and secondary antibody development/validation. Additionally, the Intern will collaborate with the cell culture team to optimize siRNA transfection protocols in primary cell lines.
A Day in the Life
- Perform cell culture activities and laboratory techniques including aseptic handling and expansion of primary cells and immortal cell lines.
- Initiate, plan, and execute scientific research with an emphasis on cell culture techniques.
- Regular analysis of cell culture samples, including microscopy, cell counting, Mycoplasma testing/ QPCR/Western blot/ELISA, and other related tests.
- To leverage automation to improve the throughput in the current processes.
- Be responsible for calibration and preventative maintenance of assigned equipment. Documentation of these activities.

Experience
- Proficient in cell culture basics, including microscopic observation, cell counting, media preparation, and aseptic handling techniques.
- Demonstrated expertise in working with cancer cell lines, with a strong understanding of culture techniques and their application.
- Additional experience in protein biology, molecular biology, or related disciplines is highly desirable.
- An advantage if experienced in primary and/or stem cell work.
