Eligibility Criteria for Tamil Nadu Teacher Job Recruitment 2023

Education Qualification:

To be eligible for the position of Graduate Teacher / Block Resource Teacher Educator (BRTE), individuals must meet the following minimum educational qualifications:

Graduation and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by any name).
Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.).
Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks and a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations.
Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed., Special Education).
A degree or its equivalent in the subjects or languages for which recruitment is being conducted.
Successful completion of the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) Paper – II with the relevant optional subject for direct recruitment.

Age Limit:

The upper age limit for candidates in the General Category for direct recruitment to this selection is 53 years.
Additionally, candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Class Muslims, Backward Classes, MBC/DNC, and DW of all castes have an upper age limit of 58 years.
