Eligibility Criteria for CTET Application Form 2024
Education Qualification:
CTET Qualification Paper 1:
Candidates applying for teaching positions in primary schools for classes 1st to 5th must ensure they meet the CTET Qualification for Paper 1. The eligibility criteria for this qualification are as follows:
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), as per the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).

CTET Qualification Paper 2:
To apply for a teaching position in government schools for classes 6th to 8th, candidates must meet the CTET Qualification for Paper 2. Here are the eligibility criteria:
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B. Sc. Ed or B.A.Ed/ B. Sc. Ed.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
- Candidates with a qualified B.Ed Programme recognized by the NCTE are eligible to appear in TET/CTET.
- Post-graduation candidates with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

- A new window will open. If you’re a new user, click on the “New Registration” button to create an account. Otherwise, enter your details and click on “SIGN IN.”
- Fill in all the required details in capital letters, including your Name, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name, and Date of Birth.
- Choose your desired Exam Centre and the language (English/Hindi) for CTET 2023.
- Enter your Aadhar card number, select your gender, and category, and indicate your Employment and Qualifying Exam status.
- Provide your Educational Details, including your most recent qualification and percentage.
